
Matina Loukea is a Psychologist (University of Athens) with a Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, and Society – Science and Technology Studies and a PhD Candidate at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, focusing on the impacts of Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM) deployment on employability in road passenger and freight transport, and on policies and reskilling systems for workforce integration. She has been a Scientific Associate at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) / Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) since 2010 and currently also serves as Head of the Laboratory on Touristic Services for Special Groups. Her expertise lies in the social dimensions of mobility, particularly in user acceptance and behavioural aspects in transport, accessibility in mobility and tourism, and the social implications of CCAM technologies. She has extensive experience in managing and contributing to European and national research projects, addressing issues of inclusiveness, gender equality, and emerging skills in the transport sector. Her work promotes training and employability in sustainable and innovative mobility systems, advancing user-centric and socially responsible transport solutions.
