Vasilios Karagounis was born in Germany, in 1972. He received the Dipl. Eng. degree in Electrical engineering and computer engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2000. He worked as a lead programmer for various companies in the private sector between 2000 and 2019 focusing on the development of game applications. From October 2019, he has been working as Software Developer with the Hellenic Institute of Transport, Centre for Research and Technology Hellas, Thessaloniki, Greece.
