The CIVITAS Forum 2026, the flagship event of the CIVITAS Initiative, will be hosted this year for the first time in a Greek city.
From September 15 to 17, 2026, Thessaloniki will welcome city representatives, policymakers, industry professionals, transport and urban planners, academics, and mobility enthusiasts from all over Europe and beyond, aiming to exchange ideas, showcase innovative solutions, and build strong, lasting partnerships.
The Forum is co-organized by the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), alongside the European Commission's CIVITAS Initiative.
This year, the theme of the CIVITAS Forum is: "Roots & Routes: Moving Towards a Competitive, Connected, and Resilient Urban Mobility!" while the program will be structured around three key thematic pillars of mobility, specifically:
🔹 Competitive
🔹 Connected
🔹 Resilient
which reflect the main priorities for sustainable urban mobility in Europe.
