The 1st Summer School for Digital Supply Chain & Logistics Management begins in Thessaloniki on the 1st week of July 2019.

The Summer School is co-organized by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki/ Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT/CERTH) and the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and aims at acquiring knowledge and recognizing developments for the digital transport chains of the future.

The Summer School gathered distinguished professors, lecturers, and logistics and supply chain professionals from Europe and the USA, as well as 25 students from 5 countries.

The Summer School is the first action of the Competence Center for Business & Logistics Challenges, which aims to support the development of skills in the Greek enterprises of the sector, to strengthen research and to achieve business cooperation through the implementation of new business models as well as adoption of new technologies. The ultimate goal is to improve the efficiency, security and resilience of digital logistics chains and logistics. Other actions of the Competence Center will be followed in line with business requirements.

The responsible for the organization from HIT/CERTH is the Research Director, Dr. Georgia Aifadopoulou and Prof. Dimitrios Vlachos from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
