A new Deal for the Electrification in Greece
Call for joint actions for the swift promotion of Electromobility in Greece
The Hellenic Institute of Electric Vehicles (HELIEV) has been the meeting and cooperation point of all Electromobility related key stakeholders in Greece during the last 30 years (since 1991).
On Friday, March 26, 2021, a new Board of Directors was elected and formed, consisting of:

The new Board of Directors encompasses experts from leading research performers, charging facilities and clean vehicle developing industries and SMEs, as well as design engineers; thus representing in good balance the whole ecosystem. It set-up 3 Working Groups, on issues related to charging, to electric vehicles and to education and training of the necessary staff, respectively. The main aim of this initiative is the development of a relevant National Architecture and a supporting implementation plan, as well as the creation and operation of a National Electromobility Observatory.
In this context, the new HELIEV Board of Directors calls upon every stakeholder in Greece to join us in this nationwide effort to promote Electromobility in Greece.
About HELIEV
HELIEV has as its members, natural persons, as well as important stakeholders, such as Research Institutes and Universities, charger development and marketing companies, importers of electric vehicles, companies developing electronics and subsystems for electric vehicles, Charging Networks Operators, Electricity Providers, Motorways, etc.
Among others, HELIEV:
- Organized in Greece from 2007 to 2019 the annual motor sports event for clean vehicles "Hi-Tech Ecomobility Rally", which is officially recognized by FIA.
- It has had a long-standing collaboration with the European Federation of Electric Vehicles – AVERE, which it now aims to further strengthen.
