Project Title: Developing the European Transport Research Alliance
Duration: 28 months (01/06/2010— 30/09/2012)

Description: The concept of DETRA derives from the Lyon Declaration. In 2008, the Lyon Declaration signatories, ECTRI, FERSI, FEHRL, EURNEX, HUMANIST, ISN and NEARCTIS committed themselves to working together on the deepening of the European Research Area objectives in transport in order to address the Grand Challenges. From this commitment grew the objective to create a European Transport Research Alliance (ETRA) that would strengthen the transport domain.

Objectives: The project will result in Transport Research Priorities and a Roadmap to govern the European Transport Research of the future.

HIT key role and responsibilities: HIT is Partner in the DETRA project.
